Milam Glacier / Ralam Trek

Day 01 Trek from Munsyari to Lilam [1845 m]

Your trek commences from Munsyari. Feasting on mesmerizing views of verdant meadows and stream, you march ahead towards Lilam. On the way you will also see an Indo-Tibet Boarder check post. Finally, you overnight at a perfect campsite.

Day 02 Lilam to Bodgwar [2500m]

Early in the morning after breakfast you take continuous descents to the Gori Ganga. En route, you come across pristine villages. Further ahead, the trail meets up a view of the confluence of rivers. Bamboo, conifer and chest nut forests dominate the view throughout the trek. You even encounter herdsmen on your way. 5-6 hours of trekking finally concludes on reaching your campsite in Bodgwar.

Day 03 Bodgwar to Rilkot [3254 m]

You trek for another 6 to 7 hours. The trail crosses verdant vegetation. When you reach an altitude of 3254m, you camp at an ideal location.

Day 04 Rilkot to Ganghar [3330 m]

Further away from Rilkot, you have to ascend gradually to an elevation of 3330 meters. Then Ganghar becomes visible. After meals you overnight at your camp tent.

Day 05 Ganghar to Nanda Devi East Base Camp [3434 m]

After breakfast you ascend further to Nanda Devi East Base Camp. The journey to this destination becomes a complete blissful experience. You experience nature at its amazing form. It normally takes 3-4 hours to reach up to Base Camp. After setting a camp, you can explore around the Base camp. Eventually, after dinner you spend the night at your camp tent.

Day 06 Nanda Devi Base Camp to Milam

In the morning shortly after breakfast you retreat to Milam. You pass by Pachu and Machang on your way. After crossing a bridge and further few hours of trekking will finally have you in Milam. Thereafter, you have your meals and then sleep in your tent.

Day 07 Rest in Milam

This day has been exclusively set aside for complete acclimatization. Sound health and good physical fitness only get you going in your trek. For this, you get a good opportunity to acclimatize completely. After proper rest, you can explore around, simply enjoy good book or go on nature walk. Finally, you overnight at the camp tent.

Day 08 Milam to Brijigang Pass [3357 m]

On a horse you leave Milam and head towards Base Camp. Heading away from Base Camp, you trek to Brijigang Pass. The trail follows river Gauri Ganga. As soon as you reach your camp site, your camp tent is set for your overnight stay.

Day 09 Brijigang Pass to Ralam Valley [3757 m]

After breakfast you walk steady up away from the pass. After 4-5 hours of ascents you enter Ralam valley. Camp is set in Ralam.

Day 10 Ralam to Lingupani

You leave Ralam valley early in the morning. The trail follows the river leading to Lingupani where you camp for the night.

Day 11 Lingupani to Lilam

From Lingupani you retrace the path that leads to Lilam. After trekking for 5-6 hours you rest your journey at your campsite in Lilam.

Day 12 Lilam to Munsyari

Early in the morning after breakfast, you return to Munsyari and overnight at your camp tent in Munsyari.

Cost per pax :

(10 – 14 pax ) – 2200 INR per day per person

( 15 – 20 pax ) – 2050 INR Per day per person

Terms & Conditions

1. Costs are per person based on twin sharing accommodation.

2. Cost includes transport, accompanying English speaking trekking escort, entrance and camping fees, mess tent, client tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent, mattress, low height stools and tables, mules / porters, and camping crew cook and kitchen helpers.

3. Meal Plan – full board DURING TREKKING ONLY

4. Cost includes Service Tax levied by the Government and is subject to change if Service Tax is revised by the Government.

5. Not included – international flights, soft/alcoholic drinks, airport tax, insurance, telecom expenses, meals not specified, camera fee, emergency evacuation / transport expenses and expenses of personal nature like tips, laundry, etc.
