The Valley Of Flower National Park is above Ghangria in the upper reaches of the Bhyundar Ganga in the Zaskar Range of the Garhwal Himalaya, Chamoli District. Bounded by high mountain ridges and peaks on all sides, 8,950 ha of land were declared a national park with effect from September 1982.It is a 5 km trek from Ghangria, which is 13 kms from the roadhead at Govindghat, between Joshimath and Badrinath. About 595 km northeast of India's capital Delhi in the state of Uttarakhand. The Valley Of Flowers was declared World Heritage Site in July 2005. Its altitude ranges from 3,200 m to 6,675 m. Such a variation in the altitude provides a great diversity of landscape and microhabitats.
Climate
Summer have a cool weather with maximum temperature reaches to nearly 17 °C.winter are snow covered and difficult to visit the valley of flower and minimum temperature go down 7 °C. .

Valley of flower is open only April to October,the best time to visit is from July to August.
